Our magic mushroom spores
Our spore syringes are produced in-house by Viking Spores under lab grade sterile conditions. Sourcing only the highest quality of spores from countries where It is legal to grow them. They are best kept in the dark and refrigerated (2-8C) to increase the shelf life of the spores. A normal household fridge is perfectly fine for this
Can i legally use these spores to grow mushrooms in the UK?
Growing magic mushrooms is illegal In the UK. We sell them for the purpose of legal microscopy and to preserve the incredible genetics, in case the law ever changes regarding growing.
What comes with the spore syringe?
- 1x Spore Syringe with 10ml of spore solution (of your chosen genetics)
- 1x Alcohol sterile wipes to clean syringe needle
- 1x Sterile needle 23g 1 1/2″
How to prepare your spore syringe for microscopy
Our spore syringes are sealed with a twist lock cap, this is to prevent any entry of bacteria or mould. Before extracting any spores you should shake the spore syringe vigorously to spread the spores evenly throughout the syringe. Untwist the cap and place your needle on by screwing into where the cap was.
How to study spores and research using a microscope
Looking at the syringes you’ll see little black specks of spores floating in the liquid.
The true beauty of our spore solutions become apparent when looked at closely at magnification. Peering into the fascinating world of mushroom spores.
Prepare the microscope slide, add a drop or so of some mushroom spore solution on it and then cover the specimen with a microscope covering glass. Psilocybin cubensis spores are best looked at under 1000x.
Can you reuse the syringe?
Yes! by heating the needle with a lighter for at least 10 seconds to sterilise and placing the plastic cap back on the needle you can store for later microscopy!
How to store spore vials
Syringes are best kept at 2C & 8C or 35F & 46F
Here’s a little information to get yourself familiar with Blue Meanie
Blue meanie spores? I’m glad you asked. It’s a fascinating back story to the blue meanie. Legend has it the exact origins of this strain of the Cubensis family first came around due to its aggressive growth, seemingly able to grow just about anywhere, producing monstrous specimens. When species of the cubensis family are cut open, they tend to bruise blue. The blue meanie has a tendency to have very vivid blues.
An avid mycologist noticed these genetics and quickly captured
the blue meanie spores for the world to keep. Blue meanie spores are one essential item for the microscopist to have in their collection.
