How long do they last? Can I store them?
Great question! Sterilised grains will not technically go ‘bad’ but they can lose moisture through the filter over time.
If you plan to use your bags within 1 week they can stay in a cool, dark place.
If you plan to store them longer, put them inside a sealed bag and store them in the fridge for up to 2 months.
How much spore/culture solution should I use?
For liquid cultures, I would recommend 5ml per 1kg bag
For spore solution, you can use between 2-5ml (5ml is a little faster)
What grain is used?
We use organic, pest-free rye grain
The grain is selected by the freshest quality that’s in season, only organic, pesticide-free grain is used.
Our mushroom grain spawn comes double heat-sealed in a sterile, filter-patch grow bag from the American made Unicorn bags.
